As some of you may already know, I attended the International Esthetics, Cosmetics and Spa Conference (IECSC) in Las Vegas last weekend. I started off by attending a full day of continuing education for Face Reality Acne Specialists with the founder of Face Reality, Laura Cooksey. In this course, we discussed updates recently made to the Home Care Guideline, new products being developed (exciting!), troubleshooting and using advanced protocols (including introducing the level 3 peel). The day was jammed packed with useful information and tips.

I spent the next 2 days attending various sessions and classes including microneedling, non-surgical facelift (using microcurrent and serums), treating acne without benzoyl peroxide and several business/marketing classes. In between classes, I was able to browse through the exhibit hall and visit a few of the hundreds of vendors. I picked up a few items to try out along the way (pictures below); One of my favorites was the organic sunless tanning souffle from Kax. I’m also trying out the collagen lifting masks. I’m looking forward to furthering my knowledge with some new skills such as microneedling to better serve my clients. If you have any questions about these or other skin treatment options, always feel free to contact be. And remember to always use Sunscreen!
