Microblading is a natural-permanent makeup eyebrow procedure using a specialized hand-tool which holds disposable microblades to manually draw hair-like strokes to create natural looking brows The technique of partially or fully filling in missing hair is called eyebrow embroidery. What is microblading, exactly?
It is a manual tattoo made with a special tool with tiny needles that make small incisions in the skin while placing pigment in the thickness and depth of the desired hair strokes.
Touch-up required: Yes, in four to eight weeks after your first appointment. It takes two sessions to get the full effects. There are a number of factors that affect how well you retain pigment. For example oily skin doesn’t hold onto ink as well as dry skin and will fade faster. Other factors that affect longevity include: skin type, medications, exfoliants, aftercare compliance, sun exposure, swimming pool, and other chemicals. On your second appointment, we will go over original strokes to darken them, tweak the shape, or build up sparse brows by layering thinner strokes in between.
How long it lasts: One to two years. If you don’t touch them up again after 12 to 18 months, they will eventually fade away,

How long it lasts: Two to five years.
Is it painful?
It can be slightly discomforting. However, a numbing agent will be used for improved comfort and tolerance.
What are the side effects?
Other than great looking eyebrows, some slight inflammation may occur during the first few hours. Many people do not react at all. The area might itch or have a slight tingling sensation that may last a day or two. Some scabbing will occur and they area needs to be kept protected with an occlusive like A&D Ointment. The treated area will first appear darker than expected but, the pigment fades over the next two weeks as the area heals and the pigment sets.
A second application or treatment is required in 4-6 weeks for the final perfected result.
Do I have to have it retreated?
Yes, you will need a touch-up in 6-8 weeks and again in 12-18 months as the pigment does fade with time.
Touch-Up
This is a 2 step treatment. The first session is used to create the shape and gain symmetry. The Second Session is used to perfect the brows and add density.
The Second Session touch-up is done within 6-8 weeks after the First Session.
It is your responsibility to book your touch up appointments. With the high demand we book up quickly so please plan accordingly.
Do not expect perfect results after the first session.
Some client’s skin may have a harder time retaining pigment and may require additional sessions.
Are there any contraindications?
Yes. Permanent makeup is not recommended if extremely oily skin, large capillaries, keloids, moles too close to brow, intense scar tissue, old tattoo with dark color remaining, keratosis, blood thinners, pregnant or lactating, hemophilia, some cancer patients and some diabetics.
Who benefits from Microblading?
Those wanting a new design or shape, with uneven brows, thinning brows, to fill missing hairs, cancer patients, hair loss or alopecia.
Long Term Care
Everyone’s results will vary due to skin type, lifestyle, and the initial 10 day care and long term care of your brow tattoo.
Use at least SPF 50 to protect your brows, sun exposure will cause fading and can alter the color of your tattoo.
Do not use chemical exfoliants on the brows, this will case the brows to fade faster.
Do not do laser your brow area (IPL etc), some lasers may change the color of the ink.
As the tattoo fades the strokes will get fainter and less defined.
Maintenance is required to maintain desired results. Touch ups are done on average every 12-24 months to maintain you microblading brow tattoo.
Machine Method hairstrokes brows typically last 2-5 years.
